METAL

Our fine metal is handcrafted from 100% recycled aluminum. Slight “imperfections” and cooling marks are the hallmark of handmade goods.
Occasional use of a non-abrasive metal polish will revive luster. We recommend Simichrome polish which is available from Mariposa or at a local hardware store.

Serveware

All products are food-safe and will not tarnish.
Handwash in warm water with mild soap and towel-dry immediately.
Do not place in the dishwasher or microwave.
Coat lightly with vegetable oil or spray to avoid staining. Avoid extended contact with water and acid-based foods.
Cutting directly on the metal surface will scratch the finish.
Warm to 350 ̊ for hot foods. Freeze or chill for summer entertaining. **Not recommended for enamel pieces

WOOD

Food-safe wood products are made from North American sustainable resources.
Do not place in the dishwasher, microwave, or oven; simply handwash in warm water with mild soap and dry.
Condition your board regularly with mineral oil or beeswax wood conditioner.
Avoid extended contact with water or acid-based foods.

SWEDISH

Birch Veneer Trays

These trays are crafted by hand and molded into shape with high heat and pressure using layers of birch veneer, protected by a melamine top-coat, making them very durable.
Dishwasher safe, however do not place in microwave.

Viventium Trays

Viventium trays are crafted from individual pieces of veneer, a natural wooden surface treated with hard wax oil. Each is unique with its own structure and tint.
Handwash only. Wipe off with a damp cloth to clean.
Not microwave safe.
If the surface becomes stained or scratched, use a very fine-grained sand paper and then coat with a new layer of hard wax oil.
Dishwasher-safe using a mild detergent on a warm, gentle cycle, however Alabaster Platters with recycled aluminum handles must be handwashed. Do not warm in oven. Do not freeze or microwave glass.

ARTISINAL GLASS

All Mariposa glassware is individually handcrafted; slight variations in color, bubbles, cooling or pontil marks are signatures of the artistic process.
Avoid extreme temperatures of boiling water or microwave on all Mariposa glass.

Italian Bellini Glass

Bellini’s effervescent look is a result of bicarbonate of soda exploding in the glass, while being individually handblown. In rare cases, slight ripples might appear at the rim.
Dishwasher-safe using a mild detergent on a warm, gentle cycle; use air dry setting to avoid potential fogging.

Alabaster Glass

Dishwasher-safe using a mild detergent on a warm, gentle cycle, however Alabaster Platters with recycled aluminum handles must be handwashed. Do not warm in oven. Do not freeze or microwave glass.

Appliqué Glassware

Crafted from strong borosilicate glass, its resilience allows for full dishwasher use. Do not microwave.

Studio Glass

While hand washing is preferred, the Studio Glass Highballs and Small Bowls may be washed in the dishwasher using mild detergent on the warm, gentle cycle. Do not microwave.
Due to the unpredictability of dishwasher temperatures, we suggest hand washing Studio Glass Large Bowls with warm water and mild soap, and towel dry. Do not microwave.

ACRYLIC

Handwash in warm water with mild soap and towel-dry with a soft cloth immediately. Do not use abrasive materials.
Use acrylic polish at intervals to maintain shine.
Avoid extended contact with water and acid-based foods with handles.
Do not place in the dishwasher or microwave.

MARBLE

Marble products are food-safe. Rub generously with vegetable oil before use.
Do not place hot food directly on top.
Handwash with mild soap and water. Clean promptly after use with acidic foods. Towel-dry with soft cloth.
Variations in color and pattern reflect the unique attributes of natural marble and showcase the stone’s beauty.

CERAMIC

Studio Ceramics are dishwasher safe, however they should not be heated in the microwave or oven. Do not freeze. Ceramics with recycled aluminum attachments must be hand washed.
